Alexei Navalny’s daughter accepts award on his behalf

Last month, the European Union introduced Navalny as a recipient of its most prestigious human rights award, interpreted by some as a direct dig at Putin. The honor, named for Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Soviet dissident Andrei Sakharov, was established in 1988 to have fun people battling for equality and elementary freedoms.
