Cold-case murder solved by DNA found on conch shell

Moniz, 41, was found useless in a pool of blood on her rest room flooring on March 23, 2001 when her father arrived to her home to take her to a health care provider’s appointment, in accordance with the discharge. She was found to have been fatally bludgeoned with a hearth poker, conch shell and cast-iron kettle. There was no signal of compelled entry.
