Lauderdale County Sheriff Under Review for Reaccreditation | Mississippi News

MERIDIAN, Miss. (AP) — The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department in Meridian is up for a daily evaluation to find out whether or not it is complying with state requirements.

A staff from the Mississippi Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission was scheduled to go to on Tuesday as a part of the division’s four-year reaccreditation course of, The Meridian Star stories.

The fee will assess how the division conducts visitors stops, makes use of pressure, engages in automobile pursuits and hires, amongst different practices. The evaluation will cowl 2017 to 2020.

Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun stated legislation enforcement businesses are required to adjust to 140 skilled requirements as a way to obtain state-accreditation from The MSLEAC.
