BOISE (AP) — Someone painted anti-Semitic graffiti in a single day Saturday in three tunnels close to the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial in downtown Boise, police mentioned.
The graffiti, which included spray-painted swastikas and different hate speech, was painted over Saturday morning by town’s parks division. Three tunnels alongside the Boise Greenbelt have been defaced, Chief Ryan Lee advised the Idaho Statesman.
“Absolutely abhorrent conduct, and we’re not going to sit idly by and let that be,” he mentioned.
A swastika was painted on the Idaho Building in downtown Boise final month and in December 2020, stickers with Nazi imagery have been left everywhere in the Anne Frank memorial.
It’s too quickly to say whether or not these incidents are linked to Saturday’s graffiti, Lee mentioned.
