CAIRO (Reuters) – Two Katyusha rockets hit Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone, Iraq’s state information company reported early on Sunday citing safety forces.
One rocket was destroyed within the air by the C-RAM protection system and the opposite landed close to the zone’s festivals enviornment damaging two automobiles, the report added. There have been no quick stories of casualties.
Security forces began an investigation to detect the launch web site, the company reported.
The Green Zone hosts overseas embassies, together with the U.S. embassy, and authorities buildings and is commonly the goal of rockets fired by teams that U.S. and Iraqi officers say are backed by Iran.
